Kali-Jade
Cross is named after the Philipino Martial Art of Kali.Sifu
trained with Guru Dan Inosanto and Bob Breen on many
occassions in the 80's. She is sixteen years old and
resides in New Inn, Pontypool Torfaen S. Wales and is
a sixth-form student at St. Albans School in Pontypool.
She is currently studying for 'A' Levels in physical
education x2, welsh bacaloriat and sociology.
Sifu's daughter, but he decided he would not teach her
the Art of Kung Fu WuShu in her early years, as she
would have to show dedication and discipline first.
He
first started Kali-Jade training in Taekwondo at the
age of 5 years, and from there moved onto Judo. Sifu
started a Childrens Kung Fu Class in Cwmbran, S.Wales
in September in 1999, where he thought it time that
she advance from her current training in Judo and start
Kung Fu in earnest.
Kali-Jade
proved very competent in the Art, training three times
a week - every week.
She
has achieved many honours. Among them becoming a British
Champion on three occasions. Last year 2006 she had
three really 'gritty' fights and won the accolade at
the Championships for 'Best Female Fighter'.
When
training Kali-Jade enjoys all aspects of the Art, but
particularly stick-work and floor defence.
She
also loves Netball, and has represented South East Wales,
at Under 16 and under 18 levels.
What
little spare time she has left, she likes going out
with her friends.
Her
ambition is to pass all her 'A' levels, go to University,
and become a teacher.
